With Sophie Cepiere, the wearer comes first. She uses her own natural fabrics - in the finest linens, silks and wools - to envelope you in a sense of wellness. Her unique garments combine the unmatched skill of French couture with exceptional wearability.
‘I don’t want to disguise those who wear my pieces.’
‘Everything I do is aimed at making the wearer feel good about themselves.’
BEAUTIFUL CLOTHES FOR REAL LIFE
MADE IN FRANCE
The 100% natural yarns are woven in the Sophie Cepiere atelier in rural south-west France. This enables all resources and all production to be meticulously controlled in terms of origin, quality and respect for persons and the planet.
Environmentally conscious processes are used to weave a whole gamut of superb textured fabrics exclusively for Sophie’s striking designs.
From the linen farmer to the wool producer, Sophie Cepiere is uncompromising on quality. She maintains her pursuit of what is natural, gentle, reliable, and unique.
FROM YARN TO GARMENT
Sophie Cepiere is an unorthodox couture designer - she designs for real women. She spearheads the ‘sustainable couture’ movement.
Sophie uses only natural fibres (pure linen, pure silk, pure wools) to make unique garments combining comfort for the wearer with the inimitible French couture cut and style.
Coming from seven generations of her family to be specialised in textiles and couture, her skills were honed in her mother’s atelier and that of her grandmother.
Her aim is to envelope the wearer in a sense of wellness. As she says, her designs are for real people, not fashion models.

Sophie Cepiere is an unorthodox couture designer and for more than 20 years has spearheaded the ‘sustainable couture’ movement. Sustainability relates to several facets of Sophie’s work and ethos:
wellness of the wearer - both physical and mental
natural fibres, eco-aware production and resource management
slow fashion - fewer garments, lovingly washed and cared for, that last many many years
supported and highly skilled artisan work force
BEAUTIFUL CLOTHES FOR A BEAUTIFUL PLANET
Niamh Cusack, Actress
Niamh immediately fell in love with Sophie’s exceptional pieces, calling them ‘beautiful clothes that make me feel beautiful’. Wearing an ensemble at a recent opening night, she noted ‘I felt a million dollars, and on top of that I was able to cycle home… so easy, so comfortable’.
